Alma Isidoro

Gender Pronouns: she/her/ella

Alma is a proud first-gen UCLA graduate born and raised in South Central Los Angeles. While studying International Development and Latin American Studies, her passion for public health advocacy and equity grew. Through her studies, she realized that systemic issues involving race and poverty highly impact people of color.

Alma became a catalyst for change by investing in the community that raised her. Alma focused on public health and equity as the Project Director for [FITTED], a program at UCLA that provides health and fitness resources to low-income students of color with the goal of positively transforming their lifestyles. She is now fortunate to be working alongside South Central LA youth to focus on key issues and help develop them as they grow into their power. Alma is a strong believer that through investing and empowering Black and Brown youth, we will build stronger, thriving, communities and futures.

Fun Fact: Apart from speaking English and Spanish, Alma also speaks Portuguese.
