Linda Gomez

Raised in Riverside, amidst a childhood of trauma and addiction, Linda began to cycle in and out of juvenile detention and eventually prison. Linda fell in love with self help and organizing when she was incarcerated. Inspired by a group focused on “at risk youth” and holistic healing, Linda quickly developed a deep passion for restorative justice. This resolve remained with her upon her release in 2018, after serving 18 ½ years. More than 1 year later, Linda is a Civic Engagement Specialist leading a team of South LA residents and system impacted folks that are developing grassroots leaders and changing public policy through widespread education and community engagement.

Fun Fact: Linda believes that her spirit guide is a Monarch butterfly.
