“I was fortunate to grow up in Los Angeles in a family that emphasized service to others, social action and change. In 2013 I volunteered for Community Coalition and had the pleasure to manage the campaign giveaway for the 2nd Annual Power Festival that brought black and brown communities together to promote the Affordable Care Act through.”
Yolanda worked in corporate America for many years and is very thankful for the opportunities afforded. Yolanda’s volunteer work at Community Coalition was the beginning of her journey to work for a progressive organization that provides opportunities to engage with social change agents. Yolanda holds a BS in Social Services from California State Polytechnic University. Yolanda has three sons and two grandsons.
