Alma Sanchez

Alma serves as the SAPC Youth Prevention Manager at CoCo. She leads youth prevention programming and spearheads the planning and implementation of the Children Defense Fund’s Freedom School summer program. Before joining CoCo, Alma worked in college access for first-generation college students and students of color through programs such as Kid City Hope Place, East Bay Consortium, and Partnership Scholars Program. Alma finds joy in helping youth realize their full potential and cultivating relationships with community members as they seek to enact change in their surroundings. Alma received her Bachelor of Arts in Social Welfare and English from UC Berkeley and her Master’s in Education, with a concentration in Student Affairs, from UCLA.
