Jesse Maeshiro

Jesse Maeshiro is a graduate of Ithaca College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Writing with minors in Spanish and African Diaspora Studies. At Ithaca, Jesse seeded her passion for racial and social justice. She was involved in the Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity, served as a mentor for the Student 2 Student Program, was a committee member on the Committee for Inclusive Education, and was the Co-President for Students Active for Ending Rape.
Before working at CoCo, Jesse worked in publishing at Penguin Random House, where she worked her way up to Associate Editor. She then went on to work as a Senior Program Director at an academic and test prep tutoring organization, Tutor Associates. In her free time, Jesse volunteers as a Crisis Counselor for Crisis Text Line. Jesse is thrilled to support CoCo’s work and currently serves as the Grant Writer on our Development team.
Fun Fact: Jesse is a bagel enthusiast and is on a mission to find the best one in the country!
